Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Monday with a negative trend, ending the day at 7,680.36, down 3.54%. With stocks of high index weight such as THYAO, SISE, and SASA leading the sales, the Industrial Index decreased by 4.09% and the Banking Index lost 0.38%. The BIST is experiencing profit sales due to the loss of momentum in domestic and international investor demand and the lack of short-term expectations. However, we expect sharp withdrawals to create buying opportunities as the high inflation and negative real interest environment persists and the new economic management continues its transition to orthodox policies amid normalization. In addition, the news to follow Mehmet Simsek's meeting with foreign investors in the USA today may be a source of motivation for the Index. Global risk appetite remains weak ahead of the Fed's interest rate decision, to be announced tomorrow, and Chairman Powell's speech. Yesterday the U.S. Stock Markets were positive in contrast to their European counterparts. This morning the U.S. futures, German DAX futures, and Asian Stock Markets in general are on a downward trend. We expect transaction volume to remain limited ahead of the Fed decision. The VIOP-30 Index ended the evening session up 0.09%. Locally, the Benchmark Index is expected to start Tuesday somewhat positively and a fluctuating trend will likely continue as buying gives way to selling. SUPPORT: 7,600 - 7,476 RESISTANCE: 7,794 - 7,942.
