Market Watch(Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Friday with a flat trend, later moving in a narrow intraday band to close at 5,058.75, down 0.54%. Stocks such as TUPRS, OYAKC and EKGYO contributed positively to the Index, while the Industrial Index rose by 0.49% and the Banking Index diverged negatively, down 1.73%. In the week where the BIST100 Index gained 0.63%, the Industrial Index rose by 2.08%, while the Banking Index lost 1.41%. Purchases within the scope of the increased share ratio in PPS state contribution funds from 10% to 30% were completed last week. Therefore, we expect the rise to lose momentum as a result. As the balance sheet announcements continue we anticipate stock and sector-based divergences increasing with potential profit realization. In global markets, risk appetite continued to weaken last week. On Friday, core personal consumption expenditures data, considered the precursor to inflation in the USA, exceeded expectations, while profit realization was observed in the indices. The VIX points above 21, indicating that selling pressure in the U.S. Stock Markets has increased again. While European Stock Markets were also selling on Friday, a mixed course was observed in Asia. The U.S. futures were mixed this morning, while German DAX futures were trading with buyers. Asian Stock Markets were mixed. The VIOP-30 Index closed the Friday evening session with a negative trend, down 0.09%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday with a slightly negative trend, with continued albeit limited selling pressure to follow. SUPPORT: 5,024 - 4,950 RESISTANCE: 5,117 - 5,175.
