Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on a positive trend, strengthening its rise - led by the banks - throughout the day. The Index closed at 9,344.97, up 1.62%. AKBNK, ISCTR, and YKBNK made the highest contribution to the Index by points, and the Banking Index rose 3.06%. The Industrial Index gained 0.99%. We think that the possibility of occasional profit realization has risen as the BIST 100, which continues the uptrend that began in the last week of December, having seen a short-term return of nearly 30%. We expect wavelengths to increase in the short term due to the approaching election and the rise in deposit interest rates. However, as long as positive factors such as the stable implementation of rational policies, confidence in economic management, and the decline in CDS remain valid in the medium term, sharp withdrawals will offer buying opportunities. On the global front risk appetite is weakening. Yesterday, the U.S. Stock Markets were negative, while Asian and European Stock Markets followed a mixed course. This morning, the U.S. futures and German DAX futures continue to sell, while Asian Stock Markets are generally positive. Overall we expect the markets to continue finding direction from data and Fed statements. The minutes of the latest Fed meeting will be published today. The VIOP30 Index ended the evening session up 0.11%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday on a positive trend with any sales, in turn, presenting a buying opportunity.
