WE EXPECT POSITIVE MOOD FOR BIST
" MSCI Asia is down by 0.7% mainly due to sell-offs in Chinese markets while other Asian markets are up. US futures are slightly negative after yesterday's positive closings at the US markets while EU futures have inched up. We expect BIST to move up today in response to yesterday's sharp sell-off.
" International Institute of Finance (IIF) predicted that CBRT would increase the policy rate by 250 basis points tomorrow.
" IMF Managing Director Georgieva said that global economic activity has slowed down, especially in the manufacturing sector, therefore medium-term growth prospects remain weak, and the inflation could remain high for longer than expected.
" Foreign Minister Fidan spoke on the phone with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov about alternative ways of exporting grain. Kremlin spokesman Peskov said Russia would continue to help underdeveloped countries.
" In the US money markets, the Fed's 25 basis point hike at next week's meeting is priced at 100%.
" Industrial production in the U.S. fell 0.5% m-m in June, more than expectations, and extended its decline into a second month.
" The housing price index published by the CBRT recorded the slowest increase in two years in May with 3.6% m-m.

AGENDA
" On Thursday, CBRT Monetary Policy Committee meeting for June will be held in Turkey.
" Housing Starts and Building Permits and Petroleum stocks will be announced in the US.
" President Erdogan's visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE will continue until 19 July.
" Egyptian President Sisi will pay an official visit to Turkey on July 27.

COMPANY NEWS
" KONTR: Amounting to US$44.7mn EPC contract was signed with a foreign customer for 3 sets 132/33kV GIS Substations. Since the size of the contract is large compared to the Company's revenue it may have a positive influence on KONTR share value.
" KCAER: The company received new orders from the America continent amounting to US$14.76mn mainly covering products in the energy sector. The amount is almost 4.5% of the company's sales in 2022.
" DMSAS: Compensation lawsuit has been filed against the former senior executives of the Company for causing damage to the Company by acting contrary to the employment contract and job description during their employment.
" MANAS: It has been announced that the company has signed a "Complete Meter Material Group and Software Commissioning Service" contract with a Turkish company operating in the country, amounting to TRY61.51mn (VAT Excluded). Since the size of the contract is large compared to the Company's revenue it may have a positive influence on MANAS share value.
" SAFKR: The Company has participated in the tender for "Driver and Passenger Cabin HVAC System (2 Items) for the National Electric Train Set" dated 18.07.2023, opened by TURKEY RAIL SYSTEM ARACLARI SANAYİİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (TÜRASAŞ) Purchasing Department. The best offer was given by the company as TRY208.7mn. The decision of the tender commission will wait for the finalization of the offer.
