Mornıng Report (Trive Yatırım Menkul Değerler )

• The BIST100 managed a positive closing today, despite increased volatility and a brief flirt in the red zone, rising 0.11% to 10,864, peaking at 10,962, and on a turnover of TRY 93.8bn, and while the STOXX600 closed flat-the CAC40 closed down by 0.6%, paring its earlier gains, and the FTSE was also 0.1% lower. At her first press conference, Britan’s finance minister Rachel Reeves set out plans on Monday to increase house building, unblock infrastructure projects and attract private investment as part of a new "national mission" to drive economic growth. However, her statements were construed as market-unfriendly, thus the sales.
• The Banks managed to keep the BIST above water, while the Conglomerates and the Industrials fell by 0.46% and 0.26% respectively, while the Transportation stocks and the Energy stocks also were the main culprits towards the tense trading behaviour, due to increased competition in the sector.
• ASELS-GUBRF and TCELL were the best performers, amid speculations that the SWF is considering selling its 26% share in TCELL, while TOASO-ARCLK and SISE were the most sold. The overhang on TOASO shares continued yesterday as well, as Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD agreed with the Turkish government to build a $1 billion production plant in Turkey with an annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles.
• As of print, the TRY is trading flat against both the USD and the Euro at 32.70 and 35.41, respectively, and the DXY is also calm this morning at 105. The 2yr Bond rates were flat yesterday at 39.77%, while the 10yr rates fell by 4bps to 27.27%.
• On the Commodity front, Brent has retreated slightly to $85.21, whereas GOLD is paring yesterday’s losses at $2365, falling yesterday after Friday’s gains as the financial markets start the week on a positive note after the surprise defeat of the far-right party led by Marine Le Pen in the French elections.

AGENDA

• There are no major local or international macro releases today, besides US Fed Chairman, Jerome Powell will begin his mid-year speeches today, first to the House of Congress and then to the Senate, as investors will try to read in-between the lines regarding any clueS to future rate cuts, and Treasury Minister Janet Yellen is also expected to speak today.

CORPORATE NEWS

• ASELS: Disclosed that it singed a €59.1mn air defence system agreement with Roketsan for 4 years.
• KCAER: Disclosed that in the last 35 days, it has received a total order worth $46.3bn from the MENA-US-Europe and Türkiye.
