Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Friday on a positive trend and maintained its course throughout the day, closing at 5,114.97, up 3.13%. The Banking Index sustained its positive divergence and rose by 7.04%, while the Industrial Index gained 2.19%. On a weekly basis while the BIST100 Index rose 11.66%, the Banking Index was up 18.49% and the Industrial Index gained 10.79%. The new cabinet was announced over the weekend. The first statement of Mehmet Simsek, the new Minister of Treasury and Finance, was that there will be a return to rational policies. We think that the statements to be made and the steps to be taken over the coming period will guide the markets in the medium-long term. Risk appetite is maintained in major global stock markets. Until the Fed meeting on June 14, expectations are set to guide the market. While the U.S. Stock Markets ended Friday up 1-2%, the European Stock Markets closed with a limited decline. The U.S. futures and Asian Stock Markets are mixed this morning, with German DAX futures trading slightly negatively. The VIX is at its lowest level of the past 18 months, falling close to 14, and indicating that selling pressure and volatility in the U.S. Stock Markets have decreased. On the domestic macroeconomic data agenda, price indices for May will be announced today. A sharp pullback is expected in monthly inflation due to the adjustments in natural gas prices in May. The market expectation is that CPI will rise 0.2% MoM and 39.8% YoY in May. As Seker Invest, we expect monthly CPI of 0.1% and annual CPI of 39.75% in May. The VIOP-30 Index ended the Friday evening session flat. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday with a rise and the uptrend to continue as pullbacks present buying opportunities. SUPPORT: 5.100 - 4.980 RESISTANCE: 5.220 - 5.350.
