The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on the rise, maintained a positive intraday course and closed at 8,838.60, up 2.13%. The Industrial Index and Banking Index rose by 1.45% & 2.41%, respectively. We think that political news flows may have impacted the positive course at the bourse. However, the reaction purchases that came after the BIST hit its lowest level since February at the start of the week, retreating 30% from the peak, were also effective. Unless a strong story pushes the BIST upwards while alternative income instruments offer high returns momentum may remain weak. However, despite a continued lack of short-term expectations for the BIST, we foresee occasional reaction buying. Yet, on the global front risk appetite is weakening amid rising expectations that the Fed will not reduce interest rates as quickly as expected. Yesterday, the U.S. and European stock markets closed with declines. Mounting expectations that the Fed will keep interest rates constant in November may weaken risk appetite. In addition, developments regarding the U.S. Presidential election of November 5 and the crisis in the Middle East continue to be followed. This morning, Asian stock markets in general and German DAX futures are priced positively, while U.S. futures are priced negatively. The VIOP30 Index rose by 0.37% in the evening session. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday flat and continue its rise in the rest of the day if profit sales are met with purchases. SUPPORT: 8,750 - 8,650 RESISTANCE: 9,000 - 9,200.
