The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on a positive trend, fluctuated throughout the day and closed at 9,982.28, down 0.72%. While the Industrial Index fell 0.72% the Banking Index gained 0.18%. With no apparent agreement reached between Hamas and Israel, geopolitical risk prevails. Since there is no supporting story for the BIST in the short term, we expect the bourse to maintain its volatile course. On the global front, profit sales were observed again yesterday after the major stock exchanges regained their losses of past weeks to approach historical peaks. As long as expectations of interest rate cuts and a soft landing are maintained the rising trend will continue, with retreats in global markets presenting buying opportunities. This morning, the U.S. futures and German DAX futures are positive, and Asian stock markets are mixed. The VIOP30 Index completed the evening session down 0.08%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday flat, and continue its fluctuating course thereafter. SUPPORT: 9,750 - 9,600 RESISTANCE: 10,000 - 10,250.
