Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on a negative trend, tried to recover throughout the rest of the day, but maintained its negative course to close at 7,725.86, down 0.83%. While the Industrial Index rose 0.03%, the Banking Index diverged negatively, down 2.41%. We consider sales in the Banking Index, which has increased by over 20% over the last few weeks, to be normal. The BIST remains weak as Moody's has not changed Turkey's credit rating, contrary to expectations. In addition, as the year end approaches, the rising appeal of alternative investment instruments and expectations that inflation accounting will negatively affect companies are also putting pressure on the BIST. However, in the medium term, we think that 2024 will be the year of rebalancing, with interest in the BIST rising after the CDS falls below 300 and as rational policies remain decisively implemented. In global markets, the expectation that interest rate hikes have come to an end has supported the indices, as major stock markets closed Tuesday with increases. This morning, the U.S. futures, German DAX futures and Asian Stock Markets follow a positive course. We expect global risk appetite to remain strong as long as data supports the perception that interest rate hikes are over. The domestic VIOP-30 Index ended the evening session down 0.21%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday with a limited negative trend. Any intraday rises will merely present a selling opportunity, thereby maintaining the fluctuating weak course. SUPPORT: 7,660 - 7,520 RESISTANCE: 7,790 - 7,860.
