Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Thursday on a positive trend, ending the day at 7,813.40, up 3.77%, thanks to intraday purchases led by bank stocks. The Industrial and Banking Indices rose by 2.78% & 5.37%, respectively. The Banking Index maintains its positive outlook due to the transition to rational policies, the decline in CDS below 300, and the effect of rising foreign purchases, especially of bank stocks. This evening, rating agency Moody's is set to announce its assessment of Turkey's rating outlook. If Moody's makes a positive revision to its rating outlook, we expect confidence in the BIST to increase. However, interest in industrial stocks and the BIST in general remains limited due to expectations that inflation accounting will negatively affect companies, the increasing appeal of alternative income instruments as deposit interest rates approach 50%, and the rise in stock loan interest rates. In global markets, risk appetite remains strong with the expectation that interest rate hikes are coming to an end. While major global stock markets ended Thursday with rises, this morning the U.S. futures, German DAX futures and Asian Stock Markets remain bullish. We expect risk appetite to remain strong as data indicating that interest rate cuts are imminent and related Fed statements emerge. The VIOP-30 Index completed the evening session up 0.20%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Friday with a positive trend. Any subsequent sales will present a buying opportunity, thus sustaining the reactionary rise. SUPPORT: 7,748 - 7,690 RESISTANCE: 7,850 - 7,940.
