Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Friday flat, then followed a fluctuating intraday course to close at 4,924.64 up 0.24%. The Industrial Index was up 0.58% while the Banking Index lost 0.12%. On a weekly basis, the BIST100 fluctuated between 4,680-5,028 and rose 2.32%. While the Banking Index lost 2.78% the Industrial Index gained 1.63%. Election uncertainty and the expectation that orthodox policies may be adopted post election, plus the rise in deposit rates, including Currency Protected Deposits, spell selling pressure at the BIST. In light of these, we expect purchases ahead of the election to present a selling opportunity thereby sustaining overall volatility. In major global stock markets, risk appetite has attempted a recovery. The markets ended the week with a mixed positive outlook. Today, markets in Europe and some of Asia will be closed for Easter. This morning US futures are observing mixed trading, and open markets in Asia trade with buyers. The most important data to be followed this the week will be CPI data to be announced in the USA on Wednesday. The print may impact risk appetite. Domestically, the VIOP-30 Index closed the Friday evening session flat. We expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday with a positive trend, and despite any intraday pullbacks the uptrend will continue as investors perceive a buying opportunity. SUPPORT: 4,880 - 4,770 RESISTANCE: 4,970- 5,045.
