Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Thursday on a positive trend, followed a sell-off trend in the afternoon and closed the day at 7,948.60, down 0.76%. While the Industrial Index decreased by 0.44%, the Banking Index diverged negatively with down 1.77%. The rising appeal of alternative instruments and weak foreign inflows limit the rise at the BIST. In addition, rising stock loan interest rates curb investor interest. However, we foresee limited declines at the BIST due to the rational policies implemented and the ongoing decline in CDS. The rating agency S&P revised Turkey's credit rating outlook from stable to positive, which will also support BIST. In global markets, risk appetite remains strong. Statements continued to come from Fed members and the U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen that there was no need for further interest rate increases. While major stock markets ended the day with increases yesterday, this morning the U.S. futures are mixed, German DAX futures are bullish, and Asian Stock Markets are bearish. We think that statements from Fed members and economic data will continue to have an impact on risk appetite. VIOP-30 Index completed the evening session down 0.29%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start the day with a positive trend and to continue its weak, fluctuating course, using reaction purchases as a selling opportunity. SUPPORT: 7,906 - 7,840 RESISTANCE: 7,993 - 8,062.
