PSI-Political Stability Index-Monthly Summary of July'23 - S Bilişim Danışmanlık

The Political Stability Index (PSI) decreased in July; from 35.096 to 33.682. In July, the decrease in the sub-sector indexes of “Economic Stability Factors”, “Basic Legitimacy and Decisiveness of Governance Norms” and “Government Forming and Operation” and, the rise in the “Political Violence” sub-sector index is striking.
The sub sector index, “Basic Legitimacy and Decisiveness of Governance Norms”, went down very sharply. The main reasons for the decline were those: Various decisions of the courts were viewed negatively. Municipality-Finance tax interactions are out of whack. Various activities of the members of the judiciary for the purpose of owning a home are heavily negative. Money-based public administration with relatively high objectivity is desired to be made goods-based. Large taxpayer protective differentiated regulations in tax were recorded negatively.
The sub sector index, “Parliament Support and Structure”, decreased slightly. The main reasons for the decline were those: Supplemental budget, amnesty law proposal/regulation, and the opposition's slackening operation of the parliamentary institution.
The sub sector index, “Government Forming and Operation”, decreased very sharply. The main reasons for the decline were those: Although the crisis was postponed, relations with Russia-Putin were severely damaged. Türkiye should not have said yes to Sweden's NATO membership. Independent of Putin, it shouldn't have said yes. The foreign policy followed has come to a crossroads. In an environment of severe deterioration in the budget, general living conditions in the country, and congestion in rent payments, the CBRT was active and the monetary policy was in the process of adjustment. After the chairman of the CBRT, the majority member of the MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) was changed, which was an extremely positive development. In foreign policy, “correction carried out by crookedness” was in effect and being precautionary monitored. NATO-Sweden acceptances, the US-Biden contacts were followed cautiously.
