" The BIST100 closed the final day of the week, before the long Eid Break, on a gain of 0.76% at 10,471, with a turnover of TRY 976.4bn, not too shabby considering that holiday goers had already hit the road to avoid the infamous "Istanbul Traffic."
" The gains were led the Industrial and Service stocks, while the Banks and Conglomerates closed in the red.
" The BIST managed to pare its earlier losses after the shelving of the proposed transaction-based tax on EQUITIES and CRYTOS, as well as the pricing of the potential removal from the FATF grey listing, to be announced on the 28th of June, and continuation of potential credit rating hikes, the nearest in the horizon being from Moodys.
" The Industrial stocks rose by 1.27%, thanks to the 6.68% rise in TOASO stocks, after parent company Stellantis disclosed that it would close down its EV production side in China, fuelling speculations that its new plant maybe relocated to Türkiye.
" Thus TOASO, topped the most bought BIST30 stocks listings, followed by BIMAS and EREGL/KRDMD shares, whereas AKSEN-KCHOL and ALARK, were the most sold.
" As of print, the TRY is trading weaker against both the USD and the Euro at 32.58 and 35, respectively, while the DXY has risen to 105.27. The 2yr Bond rates will open the short week from the 42.98% level, after closing 42bps higher on Friday, while the 10yr rates will open from 28.57%, after a 10bps rise.
" On the Commodity front, Brent is trading lower compared to yesterday's closing figure at $84.45, but around $2 higher from when we closed the markets on Friday, and GOLD is a tad higher this morning at $2340.
" Fitch increased its forecasted growth rate for Türkiye to 3.5% from 2.6%, and to 2.6% from 2.4% for 2025.
" Treasury and finance Minister, Mr. Mehmet Simsek, is in London today and tomorrow, meeting with foreign investors organized by JPMorgan-Deutsche Bank, and the Dome Group.
" Morgan Stanley renewed its TRY forecast for 2025 and sees the dollar rising to TRY 39 by mid-2025.

" On the local side, the Consumer Confidence Rate and Budget Balance will be followed today and tomorrow, while the US will be following the Current Account Balance-Weekly Jobless Claims-Housing Starts, while the Eurozone will be disclosing the Consumer Confidence level.
