RED SEA TENSION AND MOODY'S JADE SINKS MARKETS
" The BIST100 fell yesterday by 0.15% to 8032, and with a turnover of TRY 81.5bn, on a see-saw trading session, and though there was a moment of slight hope that the market would add-on to its brief gains, the dark clouds never really cleared away, thanks to the continuing sales in the Banks on the aftermath of the Moody's decision, and the increase in the tension in the Red Sea, with the sinking of a Greek vessel by the Houthis, coupled with the ECB officials also expressing different opinions, but have largely pushed back on market expectations of rate cuts starting as soon as spring, during their limelight in Davos.
" The Banks continued to bleed heavily after the Moody's decision on Friday, closing a further 1.71% lower, and rising fuel and geopolitical tension also hit the Aviation stocks, whereas the REITs and Industrial stocks, managed to diverge positively from their peers.

" Brent appears to have calmed down, trading lower this morning at $77.31, and Ounce and Gram GOLD are also continuing their downwards regression at $2020 and TRY 1956, respectively, after yesterday's comments from Waller.
" Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller acknowledged Tuesday that interest rate cuts are likely this year but said the central bank can take its time relaxing monetary policy.
