Outlook:
The BIST-100 Index started Tuesday on a negative trend, closing the day at 4,780.74, up 4.60% on higher intraday reactionary buying. The Banking Index diverged negatively to rise 2.37%. Global risk appetite continues to strengthen, despite lost momentum. Abroad, the major markets closed the day positively, led by the US stock markets. After their strong short-term performance we expect a loss of momentum among major Indexes with limited profit-taking. Yet, we also we expect renewed risk appetite ahead of the next Fed meeting and US inflation data. The BIST's stand-out position in the absence of alternatives among TRY-based assets will continue in the high inflation environment. Accordingly, we expect a continued rise on firm domestic demand. The US markets will work a half-day on thursday and be closed all day Friday. Today, leading manufacturing, service and composite PMI data emerges in Europe and the US. Weaker than expected data could fuel recession concerns and trigger profit sales. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session up 0.20%. Relative to the BIST close, the U.S. and German DAX futures are up 0.4-1%. Asian Stock Markets continue their positive trend. Locally, the BIST-100 Index is expected to start with a rise, likely to be sustained during the day. SUPPORT: 4,686 - 4,614 RESISTANCE: 4,844 - 4,898.
