Market Watch(Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST-100 Index started Tuesday on a negative trend, followed a fluctuating intraday course with profit sales, only to close at 5,000.14, up 0.85%. Major global stock markets ended with a decrease. We think that the recent strengthening of global risk appetite will weaken somewhat on recession concerns, and that selling pressure in global stock markets will continue in the short term. The decline of Brent oil below USD80 after a long period indicates that recession concerns have started to strengthen. The VIX Index being above 22 indicates that volatility and selling pressure in the U.S. Stock Markets will gain strength. After two days of limited profit-taking, the BIST ended Tuesday on a rise. Despite some foreign sales profit-taking remains limited due to strong domestic investor demand. We think that profit-taking pressure, albeit limited, may continue in the short term in the Benchmark Index, which has seen a strong rise without significant corrections over the past two months. Possible sharp pullbacks will continue to spell buying opportunities sustaining the uptrend until the next results season. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session down 0.34%. Relative to the BIST close the U.S. and German futures observed limited decreases. There was a mixed trend with negative weight among Asian Stock Markets. Locally, the Benchmark Index is expected to start today with a limited negative trend, and where rises invite profit-taking. Yet the uptrend should be preserved. SUPPORT: 4,966 - 4,906 RESISTANCE: 5,032 - 5,091.
