Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Thursday on a positive trend, concluding the day at 10,680.91, up 1.85%, with purchases accelerating following the CBRT's interest rate decision. While the Industrial Index rose 1.79%, the Banking Index continued its positive divergence, up 3.36%. The CBRT kept the policy rate constant at 50% yesterday, in line with market expectations, issuing strong messages in the accompanying text on preservation of the disinflation process. With the lifting of CBRT-related uncertainty, the positive trend at the BIST gained momentum. Today, the expectation of Turkey being removed from the gray list within the scope of FAATF should extend optimism at the bourse. On the global front, while the U.S. stock markets continued their rise, the European stock markets continued their selling trend, led by the French stock market. This morning, German DAX futures, U.S. futures and Asian stock markets are on a downtrend. We expect risk appetite to be guided by data. Core personal consumption expenditures data, an inflation indicator in the USA, will be followed on the data front today. The VIOP30 Index ended the evening session down 0.08%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Friday with a positive trend and seek to sustain it throughout the day. SUPPORT: 10,600 - 10,500 RESISTANCE: 10,800 - 11,000.
