Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Monday on a positive trend, peaking at 6,807. The Benchmark Index fluctuated throughout the day, closing at 6,695.14, up 0.11%. The Banking Index rose 0.56% while the Industrial Index gained 0.94%. Factors such as the preference for gradual normalization in economic policies, continuation of the negative real interest rate policy and foreign inflows continue to support the BIST. In the short term, we expect the positive picture at the BIST to continue with the contribution of the balance sheet season. However, we think that it is normal to experience occasional profit realization. In the medium term, we think that market direction will become clear once the steps to be taken and the economic program to be announced become clear. The CBRT has announced a new regulation by which quantitative tightening on loans/credit cards was introduced and maximum interest rates were increased. We think that the news may pressure bank stocks. On the other hand, risk appetite is maintained in major global stock markets. While the markets follow the balance sheet season they await the Fed and European Central Bank meetings. Yesterday, the U.S., European and Asian Stock Markets closed with gains. Asian stocks are up, the U.S. futures are mixed and German DAX futures are seeing slight sales, with the new announcement to support the real estate sector from China this morning. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session down 0.13%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start the day negatively, and although an uptrend may follow throughout the day, a volatile course may be observed with rises leading to profit-taking. SUPPORT: 6,622 - 6,520 RESISTANCE: 6,730 - 6,840.
