Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Monday flat, rose with purchases from the opening, but returned most of its gains with sales in the afternoon. The Index closed the day at 8,010.14, up 0.17%. While the Industrial Index rose 0.66%, the Banking Index continued its negative divergence, down 1.15%. Despite profit-taking following the rapid short-term rise of the Banking Index, factors such as the decline in CDS, which supports banking stocks, the transition to rational policies, and foreign investor interest, remain valid. Therefore, sharp pullbacks will likely be considered buying opportunities. We expect a positive reflection of strengthening global risk appetite and the rise in fund flows towards EMs in the medium term across the BIST. In global markets, risk appetite remains strong. While the U.S. and European Stock Markets ended yesterday with rises, this morning the U.S. and German DAX futures are trending positively. Asian Stock Markets are on the rise on news that a stock market support fund is to be established in China. In general, we expect economic data and statements from Fed members to continue impacting risk appetite. The VIOP 30 Index completed the evening session up 0.34%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday on a positive trend. Any subsequent profit-taking will merely present a buying opportunity, sustaining the overall uptrend, albeit with low momentum. SUPPORT: 7,950 - 7,840 RESISTANCE: 8,070 - 8,150.
