Outlook:
The BIST100 started Monday on a positive trend, peaking at a record 9,404. The Index closed the day at 9,196.07, down 1.58%. The Banking Index lost 0.47% and the Industrial Index lost 0.68%. While the rising trend of the BIST100 continues, we think that profit realizations in the Index, which has gained 30% in value without correction since the end of December, may continue in the short term. The upside potential in many stocks and indices remains limited, and alternative investment instruments offering high return potential, such as deposits, increase downside risks for the BIST. We maintain our expectation of a short-term correction. But as long as positive catalysts such as the stable implementation of rational policies, confidence in economic management, and the decline in CDS remain in play, sharp pullbacks present buying opportunities for the medium term. On the global front, the U.S. markets were closed yesterday while major stock markets saw a mixed start to the week. After the U.S. CPI data announced last week, expectations for interest rate cuts in March and May are gradually decreasing in pricing, and risk appetite is also weakening. The U.S. futures and German DAX futures are priced negatively this morning, and a mixed trend is observed in Asian Stock Markets. The VIOP30 Index closed the evening session up 0.18%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday on a negative trend. Reactionary purchases in the event of pullbacks could spell an upturn. SUPPORT: 9,150 - 9,050 RESISTANCE: 9,310 - 9,500
