Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Tuesday flat, fluctuated throughout the day and closed at 7,748.85, up 0.26%. While the Industrial Index lost 0.63%, the Banking Index diverged positively, up 4.02%. Inflation accounting and high interest pressure continues on industrial stocks, while banking stocks diverge positively with the transition to rational policies, interest rate increases, and the decline of the CDS. With deposit interest rates at 50% across the BIST interest remains limited due to the greater appeal of alternative instruments and the rise in stock loan interest rates. In global markets the U.S. CPI data was followed yesterday, registering a decline to 3.1%, and meeting expectations. Risk appetite remained strong after the data emerged, with an increase recorded in the U.S. Stock Markets, led by technology stocks. Today, markets will focus on the Fed's interest rate decision out at 22:00 CET. The possibility of the Fed leaving interest rates unchanged is priced at 98% probability by the markets. The statements of Fed President Powell at 22:30 will also be important. Ahead of the Fed, the U.S. futures are with buyers, German DAX futures are with sellers and Asian Stock Markets are mixed. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session up 0.04%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday with a limited positive trend. Despite any intraday rises, selling pressure is sure to follow. SUPPORT: 7,720 - 7,620 RESISTANCE: 7,855 - 7,920.
